Our Story

It started with a simple question.

Homeschooling families give their children so much — but where do they turn for the extra help, the study support, and the community of peers that make the journey sustainable?

For many families, the honest answer is: there isn't a great option nearby. That gap is why Bayt ul Uloom exists. We're a group of parents, educators, and community members who decided that instead of waiting for someone else to build this, we would start ourselves — even if that means starting small, starting early, and starting with a lot of work ahead of us.

Bayt ul Uloom — "the House of Knowledge" — is our name and our intention: a place where 'ilm (knowledge) is sought for the sake of Allah, and where that knowledge shapes character, not just résumés. We don't replace the education happening in your home. We come alongside it.

Honest about where we are

We're not pretending to be further along than we are. Bayt ul Uloom is a registered nonprofit with a founding board in place, and we've leased the building for our coaching center — but we don't have a fully equipped center, staff, or registered students yet.

What we do have now is open registration: homeschooling families can register their interest in our founding group today, even as we keep building the team and funding needed to open our doors, inshā'Allāh. Register your family →

If that excites you as much as it excites us, we'd love for you to be part of it from this early stage. See how →

Our Mission

Support the whole child.

To support homeschooling families through academic coaching, educational enrichment, and community-based learning — helping students strengthen both their academic skills and their connection to their Islamic values and community, while complementing the educational work families carry out at home.

Our Vision

A center our community can call home.

We envision a thriving coaching center where homeschooled students find the academic support and the friendships they need — a welcoming, respectful place that helps families build a balanced educational experience, and a source of support for the families and masajid that helped build it.

Our Core Values

The principles guiding everything we build.

Qur'an & Sunnah First

Every decision is grounded in the teachings of the Qur'an and the example of the Prophet ﷺ.

Ikhlas (Sincerity)

We're building this for the sake of Allah and the benefit of our children — not recognition.

Academic Excellence

Coaching that meets students exactly where they are and helps them build on the foundation their families have laid.

Community & Service

Bayt ul Uloom belongs to the community that builds it — and exists to serve that community in return.

Leadership

Our founding board is in place — and still growing.

Bayt ul Uloom is governed by a founding board of volunteers responsible for the organization's mission, finances, and direction. Now that we've moved from forming the organization into open registration, this board is expanding to include educators, community leaders, and specialists in finance, fundraising, and education.

If you have experience in education, nonprofit governance, fundraising, or community organizing — and want to help shape Bayt ul Uloom from day one — we want to hear from you.
